For the project, you will focus upon a specific articulation or region of the body and create an educational web site for use by future students and the public at large that fulfills the following requirements.

1. Instructs the user on the basic articular anatomy of the articulation/region.
   1. Osseous
   2. Ligamentous
   3. Cartilaginous
   4. Bursa
   5. Special features
2. Provides the user with functional knowledge on the movements that occur at the joint/in the region.
3. Instructs the user on the skeletal attachments for each of the muscles that act to create movement at the articulation or that are found in this region.
4. Provide a series of exercises for the user, with instructions, that will serve to strengthen the muscles identified in step 3.
5. You may add ancillary or supplemental material that you feel enhances the project as well.
6. The web pages must be fully functional with links to both internal (pages you create) and external (pages created by others) sites. The web pages must address the five criteria listed above. I suggest that you use Microsoft FrontPage to create the web pages.  There is excellent help on how to create web pages in the Help menu of the FrontPage program and on other web sites.
   1. It is my expectation that you are computer literate! One laboratory will be devoted to providing you details on how to configure your directories and files for the project. You should be able to figure out how to use web browsers, image software, etc on your own. I will be providing some useful links on the class web page to aid you in this process as well.
   2. Use only public domain (non-copyrighted) images on the web pages you create. If you need to access copyrighted or image material on other web sites that is not in the public domain, you should use links to these external sites.
   3. Realize that the web materials you create will be posted on the class web pages for use by future students and it will contain your name.

Evaluation

You will be evaluated on the project in two areas:

1. Content
   1. Were criteria 1-4 included?
   2. Was appropriate supplemental material incorporated?
   3. Was the content presented in a clear manner?
   4. Was the content correct?
   5. Was the content inclusive?
2. Style
   1. Was the video/web site organized and easy to follow?
   2. Was the content presented in a clear manner?
   3. Was the assignment visually interesting and pleasing?

Important Dates

1. I need an email message identifying your partner (only 2 individuals per group) by 10/7/05.  Articulations/regions will be randomly assigned on 10/11/05.
2. The project will be due on 12/2/2005. You will need to turn in only the URL to your website.
