Web Assignment #3

1.  Create the introductory page for your web site.  Most likely this page should be named default.htm, but it may have another name if this page already exists in your web space on the server.

2.  Follow this link, to see a sample page with the sample or exemplar content that should appear on your default.htm page.  The default.htm page will be the first page that individuals will view when they go to your web site. It should contain all of the links to each section of your web site.  You also can provide any extra pictures, information, etc., that you feel enhances or improves the quality of the page.  The sample page is for the knee joint, your default.htm page should be "adapted" for the joint you are covering in your project.

3.  Once you have created the default.htm page, create pages for each of the six sections of the project.

You may name these pages any name you desire (the suffix must be .htm or .html though!), although it seems logical to name them as follows, respectively.

These six pages do not have to contain any content, but they each MUST contain a link back to your start page, the default.htm page.  You can follow the links from my sample page to each of the sample pages I created for more information.

4.  Once you have created all of these pages, inserted the appropriate material on each page, and established the correct links, upload  the pages to your space on the web server - students.pepperdine.edu.  Don't forget to also upload any images or other files that the pages need to display properly.

5.  Test that your pages load, view and link properly using a web browser.

6.  Once everything is done correctly, send me an email.

The assignment is due at noon on Tuesday 11-7-05.

Why are you doing this assignment?

Because once you have created these 7 pages, you can simply edit or insert content as necessary when you work on your project during the course of the semester.  As you change and update the page, you simply have to upload the updated version of the page to the server.
