SPME 400 Web Assignment 1

 

Step 1.  Create a web page with the name default.htm.   The content of this page is shown below:

Step 2.  Create a web page with the name Page1.html.   The content of this page is shown below:

Insert a table with horizontal lines above and below the table here.  The table may have any content you desire but it should have at least 3 rows and 4 columns.

 

Put a link to the Pepperdine University home page after the horizontal line below the table.

The link (here) indicated above should be to the file index.html which you created in Step 1.

 

 

Step 3. Upload all files default.htm, page1.html and your picture to your student web space. 

 

Step 4.  Use a web browser, and view your Home Page at the following URL:

 

       http://students.pepperdine.edu/<your id>/default.htm

 

       Where <your id> is the user name or id that you use to log onto the Pepperdine student email system.

 

       Make certain that the page displays correctly.

 

Step 5.  Click on the "first page" link on your Home Page, you should go to Page 1.html.

 

Step 6.  Click on the "here" link on Page 1.  You should return to your Home Page (file index.html).

 

Step 7.  If steps 4,5 & 6 worked correctly, you are finished.  Send me an email with the full URL to your group's Home Page.

 

       If steps 4, 5 or 6 did not work correctly, edit your pages, return to step 3 and upload the edited files to your student web space, and repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 until the pages display correctly and the links work correctly. Once this is done, send me an email with the full URL to your group's Home Page.
