Every question on the Final Exam is worth 2 points.  The final is graded as follows:

• You begin each question with one point.

• An incorrect answer to the question results in a 1 point "penalty", resulting in 0 points for the question.

• An correct answer to the question results in a 1 point "reward", resulting in 2 points for the question.

Thus, if you answer no questions on the Final Exam, you are assured of a score of 50%

CURRENT AVERAGE IN THE COURSE

The first (red) column lists your current class average.  This score was computed using an assumed score of 50% on your final exam.  This will be your final course average if you simply sign your name and turn in your Final Exam without answering a question.

If you attempt the Final Exam and miss every question, your final course average is shown in the 2nd (purple) column.  This is the lowest average you can earn in the class.  If you attempt the Final Exam and get every question correct, your final course average is shown in the 3rd (brown) column.  This is the highest average you can earn in the class.

Final grades will be assigned using the scale shown on the course syllabus at http://faculty.pepperdine.edu/mfeltner/Classes/SPME430/Syllabus.html.  I will use two decimal places when assigning grades as shown in the syllabus; in other words, 89.98% is a B+, it is not rounded up to 90% when I assign grades.
