This web site will serve as your guide in completing your class project.
GROUPS
The project will be done as a group activity. You will divide yourself into groups of no more than xxx individuals and no less than two individuals. Ideally, all group members will be from the same lab section!!
PROJECT
For the project, you will conduct a biomechanics-based research project. Together, your group will:
PAPER
The main product from the project will be a manuscript that is similar in style to a Journal of Applied Biomechanics paper. You should carefully review and follow the guidelines presented here for the paper.
The paper will consist of the following sections.
1. An introduction/review of literature to your study.
2. Describe the methodology that you used to perform the study.
3. Presentation of the results with figures and tables.
4. Discussion of the results of your study.
5. References
Mechanics of the Paper
Your paper should:
1. Not exceed 17 pages of text. Clear, concise and succinct writing will be rewarded.
2. Include Graphics, Figures and Tables at your own discretion (Again, these are not text).
If you use these items, they should be presented in a clear manner after they are first mentioned in the text of the paper. For example, if you present Figure 3 in the in paragraph 4 of your Results section, Figure 3 should appear immediately after paragraph 4.
3. Please do not use a report cover to hold the manuscript together, a staple is just fine.
The Paper is due on 4/15/2005 @ 5:00 p.m.
